Just because someone’s needs have changed doesn’t mean they have to lose what makes them feel like themselves.
Carma had great taste, and she’d definitely approve of these picks. We’ve hand-picked these clothing and shoe brands for their fashion-forward, adaptive designs that prioritize comfort and ease. Each one is thoughtfully made to help people dress with confidence, dignity, and a sense of identity—even as their needs evolve.
Shoes might seem like a small detail, but for someone living with dementia, the right pair can make a big difference in safety, confidence, and daily ease. At Good Carma, we look for shoes that are easy to put on, stable to walk in, and soft on sensitive feet—without sacrificing dignity or style.
Because feeling secure starts from the ground up
Everyday Ease features five thoughtfully designed adaptive pieces that make getting dressed simpler, more
comfortable, and still stylish—perfect for maintaining dignity and confidence in daily routines.
Even though all of these things seemed a little weird for me to be buying, they ended up being things my mom actually used and loved during her time in memory care.
She named her baby doll Annie and would chat with her in the sweetest way, telling her how cute she was. She carried her little elephant lovey around constantly—it clearly gave her comfort. And Katie the Cat was a nightlight that played music when you pressed her belly. That gift was almost more for me, because it gave me peace of mind, knowing that if my mom ever woke up disoriented in the middle of the night, she had something familiar nearby to help her feel less alone.
They’re simple, but they made a difference for her—and that’s why I wanted to share them.
